'Mr. Internet'. Ten tweede: Fuck it, laten ze het geld beter steken in
bijvoorbeeld een definitief vaccin tegen malaria. Want de (commerciele!)
farmaceutische industrie had wel de research-funds over voor een grap als
Viagra (want tenslotte zouden er veel kapitaalkrachtige westerlingen zijn
die dit wondermiddel zouden kopen), maar niet voor een antwoord op malaria.
Tenslotte vindt malaria tegenwoordig louter plaats in continenten waar
mensen weinig geld hebben. En zo kan ik nog wel even verder gaan: al
twintig jaar ligt er een vaccin tegen melaatsheid weg te rotten in een kast
in een universiteit. Maar het medicijn mag niet gebruikt worden, want
volgens Amerikaanse wetten is het patent op een incorrecte manier
aangevraagd. Waardoor dit vaccin niet geproduceerd mag worden.
