[D66] variation on Mallarmé "a throw of the dice..."

Overigens is deze tekst soms vreemd vertaald:

De regel:
*    le Septentrion aussi Nord
*
is hier vertaald als:
*    The Wain also north.*

Septentrion betekent in het Frans "noorden" en is ook een oud-Engels woord met
dezelfde betekenis.

Wain is volgens http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/wain*:*

     a usually large and heavy vehicle for farm use.
     Middle English, wagon, chariot, from Old English wægn; akin to Middle
Dutch wagen wagon, Old English wegan to move

Waarmee het raadsel der vertaling duidelijker wordt... Het Noorden en wagen/car
zijn op de ene of andere manier met elkaar vervlochten/geassocieerd.
Denk aan de tracks op Chris Cutler's solo album "North Car Roulette". Zulke
benamingen en dichtregels zijn niet zomaar toeval/random...
Er is sprake van determinisme. Dus als Mallarmé op het laatst zegt
"Toute pensée émet un Coup de Dés" (All Thought expresses a Throw of the Dice)
zit hij ernaast.
Toevallige gedachten zijn niet zomaar toeval! Toevalligheid is gekoppeld aan
deterministische chaos.

Meillasoux's nieuwe boek "http://www.urbanomic.com/pub_numberandsiren.php" geeft
ook een uitleg van dit gedicht
en het is dus nog even wachten op zijn visie op dit gedicht als protagonist van
radicale contingentie en hyperchaos.

Voor zover mijn gedeeltelijke verklaring en hermeneutische deconstructie van een
vertaalaspect van Un Coup de Dés....
