Even in situations of what is fairly clearly bad behavior, social media
forms generally militate against any useful writing about such
situations. These forms are noisy, turbulent, full of useless positive
feedback loops, tendencies of polarization, etc. They were not designed
for parsing the complexities of human emotions, for ambiguity, for
feeling out inconsistent realities. They were designed for extracting
data about us and selling us to advertisers. Hence i remain skeptical of
declarations of moral or 'political' clarity that are wilfully blind to
questions of form.
