U.S. Presses New Israeli Govt to Back Two - State Solution

Ja, het Israel-Palestina conflict is één van die onderwerpen waarover
ik zeer benieuwd ben wat Obama kan gaan betekenen de komende jaren. De
eerste insteken klinken mij positief in de oren. En nu dan dit tijdens
een congres van notabene AIPAC, een politiek zeer invloedrijke
conservatieve lobbygroep voor onvoorwaardelijke steun aan Israel door
de VS.

Obama's pleidooi voor het weer gaan normaliseren van de relatie met
Cuba in het hol van de leeuw (Miami) tijdens de campagne, en dan nu
ook de speech van Biden tijdens een AIPAC congres, laten één ding
duidelijk zien: Deze regering spreekt de machtigste lobby-organisaties
in de VS niet naar de mond en vermijdt ze tegelijkertijd ook niet. Erg
sterk en hoopvol.
