Willen we de democratie of de Euro ?

Behalve verkiezingen (teneinde de democratie in ere te herstellen) wordt
het tijd dat er op zo kort mogelijke termijn een referendum over de Euro
gehouden wordt. Nederland moet zo snel mogelijk uit de Eurozone; er zijn
nu echt wel genoeg burgers aan de Euro opgeofferd - en uiteidelijk gaan
we allen ten onder. Niemand zal aan de honger van de Euro kunnen ontkomen.

Probleem is evenwel dat de twee verweven zijn. De politieke elite lijkt
vastbesloten ten koste van alles (desnoods ondergang van land en volk) de
macht in handen te houden en bedient zich daarbij van de Euro. De Euro is
het perfecte wapen gebleken om de bevolking onder de duim te houden juist
omdat er iets ernstig mis mee is. Door 1 voor 1 een bevolkingsgroep aan
de Euro op te offeren, houden andere burgers zich muisstil - tot ook zij
aan de beurt zijn. Het lijkt het Stalinisme wel.

--> Terugkeer van de democratie betekent het einde van de Euro.

If a Europe-wide referendum were held now on the euro, it would collapse.
Even without a referendum, it is under threat. In the leading Continental
countries, no government is stable; no head of government is certain of
re-election. None of them possesses enough political authority to
re-persuade their voters as to the euro's merits. All over Europe, people
are complaining that the political elite stole their currency. These
resentments will grow.

All this makes it impossible to foresee the likely development of Europe.
The elite will not give up. Their immediate response to popular rejection
is to insist that the populace must be mistaken. If they gave unacceptable
answers to the question, it is because they did not understand it.

We can be sure that over the next few months, there will be determined
efforts to rescue the European project. We can also be sure they will fail.
