Ik heb dit altijd een uiterst curieuze theorie gevonden (maar ja, wat
wil je met irrationele, dogmatische theologen :-)): Vanwege de
dubbele predestinatie (wie weet er tegenwoordig ueberhaupt nog wat dat
is :-)) maken je werken geen moer uit voor je lot. Maar toch dien je je
de pleuris te werken en je talenten te gebruiken. Waarom? Omdat je
in het succes ervan een vingerwijzing kunt vinden. Terwijl er geen vrije
wil is.

(wat een en ander overigens met de Verlichting heeft te maken ontgaat me,
maar daar zal ik maar niet over zeuren :-))
