Zit er nog ergens een veldwerker of kwalitatief onderzoekster met pit?
Vooral onderzoek naar motivaties en het beeld dat men van het
toevluchtsland heeft, vormen nog een gat in de markt. Kortom in depth
decisie-onderzoek.

The Refugee Studies Programme wishes to appoint an experienced
researcher to carry out a comparative study of the social conditions
of refugees, and their perceptions of processes of 'integration', in
the European Union. The research will be sponsored by the Lisa Gilad
Initiative and the European Council for Refugees and Exiles. It will
focus on refugees from a single country of origin in two countries of
the EU and put special emphasis on the experience and views of women.


The successful candidate is expected to have a doctorate or
equivalent research experience in social anthropology or a closely
related field and relevant research and publications. The post is for
two years, to start as soon as possible. Candidates should specify
which countries they would wish to work in and amongst refugees from
which country of origin. They should also indicate how their
experience is relevant to these choices. Those wishing to discuss the
