A statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps

In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful

And do not think that those who are killed in the way of Allah are dead; 
they are alive with their Lord, and they will be provided for

We offer our deepest condolences and congratulations on the martyrdom of 
the great scholar and commander of the martyrs of the Islamic 
Revolution, the leader of the awaited Imams, and the legitimate 
representative of the Age and Time (may Allah hasten his blessed 
reappearance), Imam Ali Khamenei (peace be upon him), in the holy month 
of Ramadan, to the Imam Mahdi (may his soul be a sacrifice for him), to 
the Islamic nation, to the great scholars and jurists, and to the great 
Iranian people.

Allah has accepted this great martyr's spirit of struggle and this pure 
son of Lady Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), just as he accepted his 
predecessor and role model, Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (peace be upon him) in 
the holy month of Ramadan, and granted him the honor of martyrdom.

We have lost a great leader, and we mourn his loss; a leader who was 
unique in his time in terms of spiritual purity, faith, good governance, 
and courage in confronting the oppressors and jihad in the path of Allah.

His martyrdom at the hands of the most vicious terrorists and oppressors 
of humanity is a testament to the righteousness of this great leader and 
the acceptance of his sincere services.

Martyrdom in the path of Islam and our beloved Iran is a sign of victory 
and nearness to the goal; however, the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei and 
his departure to Allah will not halt his path and his legacy, but will 
continue with strength and resilience.

This martyrdom will further strengthen our people's determination to 
continue the enlightened path of the beloved Imam Khamenei.

The terrorist crime committed by the malicious governments of the United 
States and the Zionist entity represents a flagrant violation of 
religious, moral, legal, and ethical norms; therefore, the hand of 
revenge of the Iranian people will remain extended, and the killers of 
the Imam of the Nation will not escape severe, decisive, and deterrent 
punishment.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the armed forces of the Islamic 
Republic, and the Popular Mobilization Forces (Basij) will vigorously 
continue the path of their commander, defending the precious legacy of 
this great leader, and will stand firmly against internal and external 
conspiracies and punish aggressors against the Islamic nation with 
deterrent and instructive measures.

In conclusion, we call on all segments of society to participate 
enthusiastically and actively in the national defense arenas, to 
showcase scenes of national cohesion and unity to the world, and to 
expose the cunning enemies and terrorists of this people.
