Overnight clashes as refugees refuse to leave train

Scores of refugees and migrants spent last night crammed in a train
after an earlier attempt by Hungarian police to move them to a transit
camp failed.

The stand-off is entering a second day as the passengers hope to be
allowed to travel to Germany.

Since the train pulled up at a railway station near the camp yesterday
they had been refusing to get off, despite the intense heat and
overcrowding.

Late last night it appeared that the conditions became too much for many
of them, as they began remonstrating with officers at the station.
