PHILOSOPHY FOR MILITANTS

Sunday 25 November 2012

Door Times : 8pm

Tickets : £4 on the door

Out of the libraries and onto the streets: Just what is the relationship
between political philosophy and political activism? Is there any
relationship at all?

French philosopher Alain Badiou's new book Philosophy for Militants is
the handbook for the struggles ahead, arguing that resurgent communism
is the only tool for universal emancipation. The students, the young,
workers and immigrants - the new militants - and it is their politics
that must condition the task of philosophy.

Join us for a panel discussion with, among others, Hannah Forbes Black,
Nina Power and James Butler of Resonance FM's Novara.
