Bourgeois pundits ponder Marx

Over the past few months there has been a bumper crop of articles in elite
publications such as the Financial Times making the case that Karl Marx was
right—or mostly right. This is understandable given the perilous times we are
living through. The kind of Panglossian message found in Fukuyama’s End of
History is ill-suited to a world edged on the precipice of economic ruin,
largely beyond the capability of the world bourgeoisie to resolve.
