Wat gaat dit doen met het traject Amsterdam-New York/of Los Angeles/of
San Francisco?

Air France heeft al zo'n 350.000 passagiers afgesnoept van Schiphol,
daar zal het dus wel niet bij blijven.

Stumbled on a list of Air France A380 videos. Most are in french but
with english subtitles. One of the better ones is about the preparation
for the A380:

Another video talks about AF's route/fleet strategy: They want to build
paris CDG as a major international hub and need large planes to service
the busy routes such as Paris New York.

Their A380 replaces two flights to New York  (777-200 and 340-300). AF
has 538 seats config for its 380s. This is more than some of the other
airlines.

Interestingly, their second A380 went to Paris-Johannesburg route.

They now have 12 confirmed orders. They got their 3rd A380 on April 15.

I had read somewhere that AF had planned to be rid of all its 747-400s
in passenger service by the end of 2010. Does anyone know if this is
still true ? With the A380s getting delivered at slower place, would AF
just make do with its 777s considering lower demand due to state of
economy, or would they extend the life of some 747s to bridge the gap ?
