Heeft nooit iemand afgevraagd waarom de EU bureaucraten de klassiek
liberaal en anti-Keynes econoom Joseph Schumpeter kozen voor hun
Lissabon innovatie strategie? Wordt door Eurocraten consensus gebakken
over welk economisch beleid het beste aan de 'werkelijkheid' kan worden
opgelegd? Schumpeter stelt dat innovatie de motor van de economie is,
terwijl iedereen met gezond verstand weet dat juist het winstmotief de
motor is. Een product zal geproduceerd worden zolang het winst oplevert,
ook als het innovatief karakter al lang is verdwenen. Wc-potten blijven
nodig. Kortom: de EU trekt een rookgordijn op met haar innovatie
strategie enkel alleen om entrepeneurs te spekken. Hoeveel geld zou er
al in gefaalde ondernemingen gestroken zijn?

collapse, although Schumpeter concludes capitalism will be replaced by
socialism for non-Marxist reasons. It is in this book that Schumpeter
characterized capitalism with the famous phrase "creative destruction,"

replaced by the new."

will burden and destroy the capitalist structure."
